International

The extension of the Bookstart scheme beyond the UK’s borders is indicative of its success. It is now affiliated to schemes in Europe, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Thailand and the Falkland Islands, and has links with other schemes in New Zealand, the USA and Canada.

International interest in Bookstart continues to grow and we offer free affiliation to other projects throughout the world that give free books to babies.
 
Being affiliated to Bookstart means overseas schemes who share the same aims as us have the opportunity to draw on our expertise and experience.
 
They also have access to our research, can purchase materials and can enjoy the benefit of being associated with Bookstart in the UK.

International Bookstart Conference
The first International Bookstart Conference was held on the 23 September 2006 as part of the IBBY Conference in Macau China.
